Based in Seattle and New York, the Stably team has a truly diverse makeup and a unique mix of personalities and backgrounds. Our founders have over 150 years of combined experience from the SEC, Wall Street, and technology firms.
Prior to founding Stably, Kory was a Private Equity Data Analyst for PitchBook in Seattle. Kory is also a quant who has consulted for money managers, hedge funds and CTAs on many subjects ranging from VIX derivatives to cryptocurrencies and algorithmic trading. In addition, he is currently a board advisor at Strix Leviathan, a Seattle FinTech start-up that specializes in developing AI/ML-based trading strategies for cryptocurrencies.
Kory holds a BBA with double major in Finance and Marketing from the University of Washington - Bothell.
Prior to co-founding Stably, Claudio built and sold a 357-person firm to KPMG. Zanett, Inc was an Oracle consulting company he co-founded in 1999. Prior to that, he co-founded Planet Zanett, an Internet Incubator which listed on NASDAQ. From 1995 to 1999, he was portfolio manager in a Technology Hedge Fund. He joined Salomon Brothers in 1985 and worked on the Fixed Income Trading Floor, focusing on fixed income arbitrage.
Claudio received a BA in Economics, cum laude, from Yale University.
David was a Software Development Engineer at Amazon's Seattle HQ. During his time there he worked on personalization systems, creating recommendations algorithms and running dozens of experiments yielding hundreds of millions in incremental product sales. He is fascinated by incentive structures and emergent properties of dynamic systems. David spends his free time algorithmically trading traditional and cryptocurrency markets as well as keeping up with the latest advances in blockchain technology and decentralized economies.
David holds a Bachelor of Science with double major in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Brown University.
John G. Moon is a Partner at global law firm Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP. He is a litigation attorney focused on representing clients in securities regulatory matters, complex civil litigation, and white-collar criminal defense. John represents financial institutions, public companies and executives in commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense, and civil and criminal investigations and proceedings brought by grand juries, the SEC, DOJ, CFTC, FINRA, and state governmental entities.
After graduation from Harvard Law School, John was an Enforcement Attorney and Branch Chief at the SEC, as well as a Federal Prosecutor of financial crimes for the U.S. Department of Justice.
Amiya was previously a Software Development Engineer at Amazon’s Seattle HQ. He helped design, develop and deploy a software service that currently supports tens of millions of retail customers globally. He has also worked for an electronic options market-making firm in Chicago, and has strong domain expertise in financial markets.
Amiya has two degrees from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor: a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a BBA in Finance from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Prior to co-founding Stably, David has been in senior positions in both public company management and investment banking. As CEO of then-NASDAQ listed Zanett, Inc., the IT Services company grew from start-up to over 200 employees, 6 regional locations, +$45 million revenue run-rate and a $100 million market cap. Prior to that, he co-owned a FINRA investment bank where he managed and/or led 70 investments. Most recently, he has consulted on M&A and capital raises for companies in technology and energy.
David received a BS in Political Science from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Bryan Guy, JD
Bryan has 17 years of experience in digital and innovation product development, with extensive expertise in payment technologies. He served as an e-commerce/payment consultant for Wells Fargo and First Data before transitioning to management consulting, where he developed product strategies and led delivery teams for major capital projects, including the Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay app, T-Mobile's app and iPhone X market launch.
Bryan has a Business Finance degree from Seattle Pacific University and is also a licensed attorney with a law degree from Seattle University.
Michael Horowitz is a full-stack developer and expert in financial software technologies. Starting with the first online treasury and portfolio management systems used by major Wall Street money center banks and continuing as Director of Workstation Research and Senior Vice President at Cantor, Fitzgerald Securities and its subsidiary Market Data Corporation, he has led the creation of many software products and services for banking and brokerage systems as well as automated trading strategies on commercial online trading platforms. More recently, Michael has worked with blockchain technology as an Ethereum developer and in a leadership role in driving cryptocurrency and blockchain applications forward.
Michael has a degree in philosophy and was college chess champion at Seton Hall University.
